What is the 'Medium Turret'?

A turret is a rotating weapon platform. It is a pan/tilt assembly that holds a non-lethal airsoft or paintball gun. The idea behind this kit is to just offer the custom hardware not available off the shelf. We offer these kits because currently there are no other options out there besides trying to build it yourself.

What can I use it for?

The kit itself can be used for a variety of things including a simple RC turret on a mobile or fixed platform. Or with the Starter Kit as an autonomous sentry gun.

What is included?

The picture on the left shows what is included. The picture on the right is an assembled example (without servos installed). (click on the picture for a much larger image). For a complete autonomous system, assuming you don't already have these things, here is a list of what else may be needed depending on your application:

• Laptop or PC (Acer Aspire One or Samsung NC10 recommended)

The base has four quarter inch holes and can be mounted to many different platforms from a tripod to an RC truck (the camera must be still to be used in autonomous mode though). It is designed for light paintball/airsoft guns as pictured. The torque of the servos decides the weight limit as the hardware itself can handle much more than the servos ever could. This new turret is also more rugged and more precise than the previous models.

The mount universally accepts most paintball/airsoft guns and the trigger pull bar is also widely adjustable. For more info see the turret assembly instructions. Due to limited stock and high demand, only customers who have bought the Starter Kit will be able to purchase this product.
